ALD-Holcroft is first and foremost a designer and manufacturer of vacuum heat treating furnaces and furnace systems.  Integrating European designs with American expertise yields our expertly configured systems with flexibility and reliability.  It is the American flavor that expands the European standard products into accomplished heat treating systems.  Our product line is rounded out by the MonoTherm, DualTherm and ModulTherm. MonoTherm is our "kit" concept in standard, single chamber vacuum furnaces.  But the design concepts of ModulTherm and DualTherm take vacuum heat treating equipment to their logical design pinnacle. 

The DualTherm and ModulTherm designs are executed based on process, without limitation of equipment.  Heat chambers heat, quench chambers quench, load movements are maintained separate from each.  This concept enables each function to be performed to its maximum capability without the compromise of "merged" functions such as heating and cooling within the same chamber.

Our History

ALD-Holcroft Vacuum Technologies Co., Inc. was formed in 2005 as a joint venture between ALD Vacuum Technologies of Hanau, Germany, and AFC-Holcroft of Wixom, Michigan. ALD is a world-renowned company in the field of vacuum furnace equipment and has been in business for over 60 years. AFC-Holcroft is a global leader in the supply of atmosphere based furnace systems for more than 90 years.

The combined expertise of these two “powerhouses” focuses on the NAFTA region (the United States, Canada and Mexico) to bring high volume heat treating systems centering on vacuum technologies to the market. ALD-Holcroft can be your single source to meet your heat treat equipment requirements. We are fully equipped to design, manufacture, ship, install, and service all types of custom and standard heat treat systems.
